Florida 2021 - Part Four

Atlantic Ocean

She has taken to botany, too, and I am glad,
for I think those studies that draw one off
from men's works and thoughts, do most

The picnic table at our Gulf Coast campground in Oscar Scherer state park was a lovely, shady place to add to our nature journals.

Elsa has a special way of capturing flora in clear, "simple" shapes that make mine look messy!
[See her wild plum blossoms in a recent post at https://reachingtotheskies.blogspot.com/ for example.]

The Gulf of Mexico has such a different look and feel than the Atlantic Ocean, that I brought paints and water-brush out to the beach one day just to think through the colors better.

    1. Thank you, yes! Even though we also love the beauties of snowy winter, 100 degrees warmer than back home meant we could live outdoors again for those weeks.
