More Early Apples - 2017

Once we started picking the Red Barons, it was time to replace our old, worn-out dehydrator and start making dried apple rings to enjoy this winter.

At the recommendation of a friend at our chiropractor's office, we even sprinkled some with cinnamon before drying. Yum!

  1. That looks so good! How do you store them?

I read both of your blogs regularly and frequently - learn alot about Lyme disease that I didn't understand and am also reminded frequently of the very present help of God in things of chronic nature.

Many difficulties cannot be avoided but the extent to which I am "injured" by them will (I find) reflect the degree to which I was able to engage with the Spirit and acknowledge what is absolutely true (both about my limits and His provisions) while I was in the difficulty.

I say that only to give witness, not counsel. All of you have touched my heart so frequently through your blog reports. Best wishes and love to your parents as well - Sharon Torgerson, in Oregon

  2. Good to hear from you, Sharon!

We store the apple slices in jars and keep them frozen until we want a jar out for snacking.

And thank you for sharing from your experience. So true and so well stated!
